NORTHFIELD, IL – More than three hundred residents of House District 17 attended candidate Hamilton Chang’s concert at Clarkson Park in Northfield this past Saturday, October 16th. Chang hosted a free concert and BBQ to demonstrate his appreciation for the community. The impressive turnout reveals an unprecedented excitement for Chang’s campaign.

Chang’s contagious enthusiasm and innovative thinking resulted in members from throughout the community rallying behind the candidate in a dedicated effort to bring accountability back to Illinois. People of all ages, from all corners of the District cheered as Hamilton Chang took the stage. They lined up for Chang t-shirts and took the opportunity to get to know their candidate better.
"It was humbling to have literally hundreds of people from the community come out to show their support and share their concerns for the direction of our State." Chang stated after the event. "People are not happy with what has been happening in Springfield and after today I am more determined than ever to get us back on track."
"It’s not often that we [voters] have an opportunity to interact with candidates in these types of community settings," said Susan Trumbolt, an independent voter and Northfield resident. "It was refreshing to see Hamilton Chang and his family reaching out and engaging with families from all over our district."
